Sunday Reads: The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho

I heard about this book many years ago, however I guess if i had read it back then I wouldn’t have been able to understand the subtle undertones of Santiago the Shepard boy’s story of following his personal legend (purpose). This book explores dreams, faith, hope and resilience through the Shepard boy who dreams and of travelling and seeing the pyramids in Egypt. Being a young 20 something now and being on the journey of learning my personal legend. I was able to relate to this story personally, as many others who have also read this book have been able to relate.

Paulo Coelho is truly full of wisdom and has an amazing perspective of world and life. I would recommend following him on Twitter or his Facebook page as there are many amazing quotes from him !

“The Alchemist” is one of my favorite books. As well Paulo Coehlo is one of my favorite authors. His books give real life insight. I first read “The Alchemist” in high school, but have re-read multiple times since. The story is truly relatable for anyone in their late teens and into their twenties.
